We're seeking a ambition and experienced HR leader to join our senior team and shape the future of our function. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact and shape services which are fit to meet our ambitions for Oldham.

As Head of HR, you'll lead HR operational advisory service and employment services (resourcing, systems, payroll). You'll provide expert guidance to leaders at all levels. You will have opportunity to shape and implement programmes which will meet employment law requirements and support Oldham to be the best place to live and work. With a strong track record in HR leadership you'll bring credibility, innovation, and a passion for people.

Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will be able to:

  • Evidence CIPD qualifications and significant knowledge of legal & compliance standards, as well as HR best practice.
  • Evidence significant experience in senior HR roles in complex, unionised environments.
  • Influence varied stakeholders both internally and externally, both strategically and operationally.
