Head of Engineering - Open Systems Technologies : Job Details

A Series A startup is looking for a Head of Engineering to join their team in New York, NY.Compensation: $200-220kResponsibilities:

• Hands-on engineering with technical leadership
• Work with core engineers and contractors to move fast and iterate
• Build scalable systems to onboard customers quickly and support rapid growth
• Work with the CEO to shape the roadmap and technical vision for future ERP innovations, AI-driven pricing, and marketplace connectivity
• Develop an AI-powered system to optimize operations, leverage data, and provide metal suppliers with real-time, AI-driven decision-making tools

Qualifications:

• 5-12 years at a great startup or high-growth company – early blue-chip experience is a plus
• Primarily a coder – you love writing code
• Startup mindset – outcome-driven, resourceful, and thrives in a lean team
• Comfortable with high commitment – ready for a 65-70 hour workweek, including one weekend day

Must be NYC-based – in-office 4x per week
