This role will be responsible for architecting, building, and scaling technology solutions that transform patient care, accelerate drug discovery, optimize healthcare operations, and improve overall health outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep engineering leadership with strong domain knowledge in healthcare, life sciences, and compliance-driven environments. **Responsibilities:*****Strategic Leadership**** Define and drive the technology strategy for the HLS practice, aligned with business objectives and client needs.* Partner with senior leadership, product management, and domain experts to shape offerings across healthcare providers, payers, MedTech, pharma, and biotech.* Lead innovation initiatives in AI/ML, GenAI, data platforms, digital health, and connected ecosystems.***Engineering Excellence**** Oversee end-to-end engineering across multiple programs — from architecture and design to delivery and operations.* Drive best practices in secure, compliant, and scalable software development (HIPAA, FDA, GDPR, GxP).* Foster engineering culture of agility, reliability, and “fail-fast/learn-fast” experimentation.***Team Leadership**** Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across data, cloud, platform, and application layers.* Encourage continuous learning, research, and adoption of emerging technologies in healthcare and life sciences.***Client & Business Impact**** Engage with CxO-level stakeholders to understand their business and technology needs.* Translate complex healthcare and life sciences challenges into scalable engineering solutions.* Drive co-innovation opportunities with clients and partners**Qualifications*** 15 to 20+ years of engineering leadership experience, with at least 5+ in healthcare, pharma, biotech, or MedTech domains.* Proven track record of leading large-scale, mission-critical engineering programs (cloud, data platforms, AI, digital products).* Deep knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM), clinical systems, and regulatory compliance.* Strong background in modern engineering practices — microservices, APIs, DevSecOps, LLMOps, MLOps, cloud-native architectures.* Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.**What We Offer*** Opportunity to define and shape the future of healthcare and life sciences technology.* A platform to drive innovation at scale using AI, data, cloud, and emerging technologies.* Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture with access to cutting-edge research and partner ecosystems.* Global career growth in a purpose-driven organization.**Must Haves:*** Hands on Architecting Capability* Consulting Experience**Pay:**The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: **Up to $300,000**. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.**Benefits:**As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms.
