SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Head of Education, Editorial, and Communications will lead the association's development, execution, and continuous improvement of program and editorial content and marketing communications, shaping what and how we share with our member community. This role requires a visionary leader capable of aligning content and marketing strategies with organizational goals, enhancing learning opportunities for members, overseeing publications that drive engagement, and executing campaigns to increase visibility and participation. The position ensures the creation and dissemination of high-quality, relevant, and engaging content to support the professional growth of members. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role manages an internal team of professionals, support staff, industry subject matter experts, consultants, and member volunteers. Although the association operates remotely, this position requires in-person work as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with subject matter experts, industry leaders, and internal teams to develop and deliver valuable content and educational offerings.
  • Budget Management: Oversee budget planning for educational initiatives and content development, ensuring cost-effective resource use.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor staff and contributors, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Maintain high standards of accuracy, credibility, and regulatory compliance in all educational and editorial content.
  • Curriculum Development & Oversight: Manage the development and revision of curriculum materials to keep them current, relevant, and impactful.
  • Member Engagement & Learning Innovation: Utilize innovative methodologies, including digital and interactive content, to boost engagement and accessibility.
  • Strategic Content Planning: Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with the association's mission, incorporating industry trends and emerging topics.
  • Content Creation: Produce compelling content for various channels including programs, newsletters, press releases, blogs, social media, and websites.
  • Editorial Content Leadership: Oversee the creation, curation, and distribution of high-quality editorial materials such as articles, reports, newsletters, and whitepapers.
  • Marketing Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive marketing plans to align with strategic goals and enhance engagement.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns to promote events and initiatives.
  • Social Media Management: Manage social media presence to increase engagement and brand visibility.
  • Brand Management: Ensure communication materials adhere to branding guidelines.
  • Event Promotion: Collaborate with the events team to develop promotional strategies to boost participation.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor campaign effectiveness and use data analytics to inform strategies.
  • Website Management: Work with the Technology Manager to maintain and update website content reflecting current programs.
