The school values diversity, wellbeing, collaboration, and open communication to foster student success, independence, and confidence.About The RoleBeenleigh Special School is seeking an experienced and student-focused school leader for the role of Head of Department - Curriculum. In this role you will work as part of a team of curriculum leaders focused on the delivery or school and departmental initiatives. You will be jointly responsible for whole school curriculum development and pedagogy for students with a disability, and building the capability of a large number of teachers with a wide range of teaching experience.Your ResponsibilitiesAs the Head of Department - Curriculum, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
• Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
• Set high standards for student and staff performance.
• Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
