R+L Carriers has an immediate opening for a Safety Hazmat Technician in our Matteson, IL service center office. Reporting to the Director of Safety, the Hazmat Technician is responsible for emergency response, hazardous and non-hazardous materials clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, handling hazardous materials, and other duties as required.

• Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 40 Hours per week
• Starting salary: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
• Earn 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment
• Seniority level: Entry level
• Employment type: Full-time
• Industries: Truck Transportation

• 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required
• Proper personal protective equipment as per OSHA and industry standards
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and physically fit
• Ability to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with emergency response tools and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
