BB&E Consulting Engineers and Professionals, a full-service civil and environmental engineering firm based in Northville, Michigan, is seeking a Hazardous Waste Coordinator to support NASA Ames Environmental Research Center. The role involves managing hazardous waste, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting environmental services.

• Collect and manage hazardous waste, medical waste, and lab waste.
• Segregate, process, and package hazardous waste according to hazard class.
• Perform waste sampling, classification, and manifesting from cradle-to-grave.
• Coordinate waste pickup, transportation, and disposal, including radioactive waste.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for hazardous waste management.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and federal/state regulations.
• Support environmental audits and inspections.

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a federal background check.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with hazardous waste management, including regulatory compliance.
• Certifications: CHMM, DOT Hazardous Materials, HAZWOPER 40-hour.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in GIS, MS Office, and hazardous waste documentation.

• Ability to walk, sit, stand, and lift up to 80 lbs.
• Work indoors and outdoors, in confined spaces, and at heights.
• Wearing PPE as required.

• Salary range: $85,000 - $105,000 per year.
