Pilgrims. Enterprise, AL Hatchery Laborer. Hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 5:00 am-4:00 pm Job Duties/ Physical Requirements/ Dexterity: Hatchery Laborers are required to wash floats, transport hatcher trays, sanitize separator, sanitize hatcher, set eggs, transfer eggs, and load chicks onto conveyor. Washing floats (buggy) is accomplished by removing hatcher trays from the float, over turning the float to remove debris and rinsing with high pressure hose. The separator is sanitized using a foaming system with sodium hypochlorite and then rinsed with a high pressure hose. Sanitizing the hatcher requires removing fans from the inside of the hatcher, sweeping the floor to remove excess debris, then foaming with sodium hypochlorite and rinsing with a high pressure hose. Setting requires team members to place eggs into the incubators by lifting 10 pound egg trays and placing them into stacked buggies, the eggs are placed from floor level to shoulder level.
