Mecha builds computers, firmware, and cloud software for building applications in the real world. These computers are programmable, powered by an open ecosystem, and primarily run open-source software, ensuring they are embeddable, multi-purpose, and long-lasting. Our customers include K-12 students, hobbyists, creators, and engineers. Our enterprise offerings target OEMs, ISVs in IoT, Industrial Automation, and Robotics.

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer with 3-7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PCB design, system architecture, and hardware debugging.

Location: Work from Office (Vadodara), Work from Home, Hybrid - we're flexible

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex PCB layouts for microprocessor-based systems
  • Create and review electrical schematics for analog and digital circuits
  • Perform board bring-up, testing, and hardware debugging
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met
  • Document design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • 3-7 years of hands-on experience in PCB design and development
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Orcad, KiCad, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles
  • Experience with microprocessor and microcontroller-based systems
  • Expertise in hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment
  • Knowledge of industry standards (EMC, EMI, signal integrity)
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with high-speed digital design
  • Working knowledge with ARM-based processors, preferably NXP
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and DFM principles
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
