About the Role: We seek a strategic and technically skilled Solutions Architect to oversee the Guidewire cloud platform and promote its global adoption for specialized insurance products. This role involves shaping the platform's long-term roadmap, aligning with enterprise strategies and the Guidewire ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise application architecture, cloud transformation, and platform modernization, with a focus on driving innovation, standardization, and scalability across complex landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Guidewire cloud platform and its global adoption, building and driving its long-term roadmap aligned with both Guidewire and business strategies.
  • Oversee the application portfolio, including platform selection and rationalization, in partnership with Business architecture.
  • Collaborate with architecture teams to drive application modernization.
  • Identify and promote technical capabilities to support business gaps, aligning with enterprise drivers.
  • Guide solution design according to best practices and integration patterns.
  • Maintain application ecosystem and standards artifacts.
  • Enhance architecture practices to foster collaboration across ETS.
  • Ensure software version currency, including third-party libraries and frameworks.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with delivery teams and architects.
  • Conduct cloud readiness assessments and gap analysis for Guidewire transformation.
  • Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and proof of concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 10+ years in software development with 3+ years in an architect role.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire solutions and cloud platform.
  • Experience with Guidewire Commercial lines implementations (e.g., Auto, Workers' Compensation, General Liability) is highly desired.
  • Expertise in scalable, reliable, resilient application design and cloud computing.
  • Experience with governance, best practices, and reusable integration components.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and networking.
  • Guidewire cloud platform certification preferred; cloud architecture certification (Azure, AWS, Google) preferred.
  • Experience with data migration, analytics, and insurance data models is a plus.
  • Guidewire upgrade experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical info across roles.

For CA, NY, NJ, or IL: The salary range is $173,000 - $237,000 annually, based on experience, education, and location. Benefits include health insurance, wellness programs, life/disability insurance, 401k match, retirement plans, paid holidays, and PTO.
