We're looking for a Guest Services Manager to lead the planning and execution of meetings, events, and food service operations across our Conference Center, staff and attorney hubs, Café, and Coffee Bar. Sitting within the Guest Services and Hospitality team, this role partners closely with Conference and Food Service teams to ensure smooth, high-quality day-to-day operations.You'll oversee event logistics, supervise onsite teams, manage budgets, and drive service excellence—while continuously seeking ways to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with additional hours during frequent evening and weekend special events. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.

  • Lead Event & Hospitality Operations – Manage end-to-end execution of internal and external events, ensuring readiness across conference rooms, pantries, and dining spaces.
  • Supervise Onsite Teams – Oversee Guest Services Coordinators, Catering, and Pantry staff; ensure appropriate front desk coverage and balanced workloads.
  • Coordinate Across Departments – Collaborate with internal teams and service vendors to deliver seamless event support and client experiences.
  • Maintain Menus & Signage – Oversee café and coffee offerings and ensure accuracy of digital signage across hospitality areas.
  • Manage Budgets & Invoices – Forecast and monitor budgets, present P&L reports, and process invoices for catering, café, and special events.
  • Drive Operational Improvements – Develop protocols, resolve service issues, and implement feedback-driven enhancements.
What You'll Bring
  • Education – Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience – 5+ years in event planning or hospitality, including 3+ years in a supervisory role and experience managing external vendors.
  • Leadership & Communication – Excellent service mindset with strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Proficiency – Skilled in Microsoft Office and scheduling tools such as Event Management System (EMS).
  • Budget & Process Acumen – Confident managing budgets, analyzing service needs, and streamlining operations.
  • Professionalism – Demonstrates polished, client-facing presence aligned with corporate standards.

This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary.   • Chicago: $120,000 - $135,000
