Guest Service Agent - Hilton San Diego Bayfront - Hilton Hotels : Job Details

The Hilton San Diego Bayfront is looking for a Guest Service Agent to join the team. This 30-story hotel has 1190 rooms and 170,000 sq ft of meeting space and offers an urban coastal experience for every guest. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of customer service experience and OnQ knowledge. A flexible schedule, strong computer proficiency, and excellent communication skills are critical requirements.

• Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information, confirming guest details and room rate, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet, and guiding guests to their rooms or assisting with bell service as needed
• Assist guests with check-out, ensuring accurate billing, using the point-of-sale system, handling payments, processing various forms of payment, and, if applicable, converting foreign currency
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, local area information, and general product knowledge; answer guest questions and inquiries
• Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities to maximize occupancy
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally; resolve issues in a timely, friendly manner
• Field guest complaints, research, negotiate solutions, and ensure guest satisfaction
• Receive, input, relay and manage guest messages as needed

• One year of customer service experience; OnQ knowledge preferred
