Job Description

At Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort, every role is about creating memorable moments for our guests. While no job description can cover every request or situation that may arise, the core mission of every team member is to deliver exceptional service—whether by assisting guests directly or connecting them with the right department. Below are the key responsibilities that make the Bellperson role an essential part of our guests' first and lasting impressions.

Responsibilities

Purpose

To assist and provide services to guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable arrival and departure experience while offering helpful and informative interactions.

Essential Functions

  • Assist guests with transporting and storing luggage.

  • Maintain a professional and polished appearance, ensuring uniforms are clean and presentable.

  • Uphold 4-Star/4-Diamond guest service standards.

  • Assist guests with packages, including transporting items to their rooms, vehicles, or designated areas.

  • Properly log all runs on the Bell Stand Log for accountability.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby area.

  • Speak to guests in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.

  • Stay informed about all hotel promotions and guest-related programs.

  • Ensure familiarity with and adherence to all emergency procedures.

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and well-maintained.

  • Have a strong understanding of all amenities and services offered at the resort.

  • Be knowledgeable about and execute Moments of Service standards.

Technical Skills & Systems

  • Synergy – Ability to input and manage work orders.

  • Epitome – Enter and track guest-related notes.

  • Track It – Look up and close out package deliveries once completed.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.

Tools & Equipment Used

  • Office Equipment: Computer, printer, telephone, copier, fax machine, pens/pencils.

  • Bell Stand Equipment: Luggage carts, hand trucks.

  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Brass polish, general cleaning products.

Working Conditions

  • Work primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
