Additionally, the Group Fitness Instructor will provide fitness challenges that will attain and retain participant enrollment. Classes meet either once or twice a week, and we offer morning, night and weekend classes.We are looking for instructors specifically for a Mind and Body (Yoga, Accessible Yoga, Youth Yoga, Pilates, and Tai Chi), Youth Fitness Programs, and Senior Fitness Programs. However, if you offer something else, we would love to know! Instructors must hold an up-to-date, nationally accredited certification for the class they intend to teach. Pay has a base wage of $XX for a 55-minute class plus supplemental pay based on class enrollment.QualificationsEssential & Ancillary Job DutiesInstruct fitness classes by demonstrating movements, coaching modifications modify movements as needed for individual participantsMonitor participant safety and adjust verbal instruction as needed to maintain a safe environmentAbility to speak clearly and effectively before large groups when teaching and demonstrating techniquesAbility to operate and troubleshoot audio equipmentComplete attendance reports and instructor sign in logs consistentlyArrive on time for contracted work. Punctuality and reliability is a must Deliver excellent customer service to participantsClean and organize after each class Develop positive relationships and rapport with class participantsSend notifications or updates to the enrolled participants of the classes you teach through phone, email, or text Meet minimum enrollment requirements to run program Maintain current certification(s)Perform other related duties as assignedJob Qualifications & Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesOne year of fitness instruction desiredUp-to-date, nationally accredited fitness or personal training certification requiredCurrent CPR Certification requiredKnowledge of basic body functions and movementAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingWork Environment & Physical AbilitiesIndoor work environment May be exposed to moderate noise levelsWork may require frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting and carrying up to 45 poundsMust be able to speak and hear clearlyMust be able to move frequently
