Hours for this role are PRN, so 4 shifts a month
ResponsibilitiesAs a Group Facilitator you will be a vital member of the Recreation Therapy department by providing structured group activities for children, adolescents and adults in inpatient units. This role emphasizes a client-centered and interactive approach, promoting the development of new coping skills, appropriate social interactions, and physical activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Activity Facilitation: Design and implement structured group activities focused on independent living skills, recreation and leisure skills, team building, and other essential life skills for children and adolescents diagnosed with mental illness.
Direct Care Provider: Serve as a direct care provider by managing the milieu and supervising participants during group sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Recreation Therapy team and other treatment team members to create a therapeutic environment that fosters client growth and development. Communicate effectively regarding patient treatment, progress, and any concerns.
Compensation for this role ranges from $18-23 per hour depending on education and experience.
