As a Fatherhood Support Group Facilitator, you will plan and lead the weekly meetings of a Parents Care & Share Father's Group in the Chicago metro area and engage in other relevant group work, such as outreach, arranging for food or snacks at group meetings, or parent leadership development in the area. The Group Facilitator also develops safe and trusting relationships with fathers so that services build on family strengths and referrals can be provided for additional supportive services as needed. If you are knowledgeable about the joys and challenges of parenting, have experience in engaging clients and facilitating groups, and are passionate about helping fathers and families thrive and flourish, this may be the perfect opportunity for you to join the Brightpoint team.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in a social services or human service field preferred.
• Commitment to complete agency-sponsored group facilitator training within 60 days of hire required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in facilitating groups preferred.
• Familiarity with local community resources preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge of group dynamics preferred.
• A valid driver's license, current auto insurance and access to a reliable vehicle may be required to execute the position's responsibilities, depending on program assignment.

Job details:

• Compensation: Hourly Range $18.84-$20.72; offer is commensurate with experience. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs. • Location: Support Groups occur in community-based locations in the Chicago metro area.
• Schedule: Hourly Part-time (5 hours/week); Support Groups are held weekly and scheduled with both community need and the facilitator's availability in mind.
