Groundskeeper - Off Campus Crew/Roving - Texas Tech University : Job Details

Assist in installation and maintenance of signs, barricades, fences and irrigation systems, including digging lines, replacing heads and valves. Plants trees, shrubs, ground cover an annual flowers, using proper horticultural techniques. Mow, edge and trim turf areas, collect debris daily, weed planting beds, water trees, shrubs, flowers and turf areas, spread sand, remove snow and ice from walkways. Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other grounds features. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. This is an essential personnel position. You will need to be available for on call duty for emergency maintenance or to assist in campus preparation due to inclement weather or hazardous weather conditions. Report hazards such as broken limbs, uneven walks, holes in turf areas, broken benches, etc. Erects barricades around hazard areas.
