Groundskeeper - REEVES COUNTY HOSPITAL DISTRICT : Job Details

Performs duties involved in landscaping, planting and maintaining the outside grounds of the hospital. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Landscapes hospital grounds. Prepares lawns and beds for planting. Selects and obtains plants, trees, seed, and fertilizers used in planting. Plants lawns and beds. Maintains hospital grounds. Mows, edges, fertilizes, and irrigates lawn areas. Cultivates, replants, fertilizes, and irrigates beds. Prunes, fertilizes, and irrigates trees and shrubs. Collects trash and other debris and disposes of it in a collection area. Operates and maintains grounds keeping equipment. Operates tractor, pickup truck, and mowers to perform grounds keeping duties. Performs minor maintenance on equipment and advises. Maintenance mechanic of major problems. Requests and stocks grounds keeping supplies. Assists in determining fertilizer needs and stock levels. Recommends small grounds keeping tools needed and controls their storage and use.
