Groundskeeper - Northwell Health : Job Details

Performing a variety of maintenance task in association with keeping the hospital grounds in a safe, clean and aesthetically pleasing condition. Keeps roadways and sidewalks free of snow and ice build-up. Assists in maintenance and repair a variety of non-clinical electrical/mechanical equipment. Job Responsibility - Uses equipment to sweep walks, driveways and entrances daily to keeps these areas clean and safe. Orders materials and supplies as required through the Lead Groundskeeper. - Periodically mows lawn and waters trees, shrubs, grass, etc. - As required, periodically seeds, weeds, cultivate and trim edges of planted areas. - Removes snow and ice from driveways, walkways and entrances to the hospital. Uses salt and chemical melting agents as required. - Keeps all parking areas clean and free of debris, snow, ice and rubbish.
