Key: *** = Full Time & Part Time Regular Staff Only As a Groundskeeper, you will carry out our Mission of Love by assisting Landscape Gardeners with implementing work schedules and assignments. Any tasks that are required to maintain the landscape may be asked of the groundskeeper under the direction of the Landscape Gardener. Our Groundskeeper is responsible for the following:
  • Responsible for gaining the understanding of the proper use and handling of pesticides to include chemical mixtures, ratios, rates and application processes.
  • Assist Landscape Gardeners in daily and weekly activities concerning the proper maintenance of the grounds.
  • Capable of assessing, evaluating and bringing plant growth problems to the attention of those qualified.
  • Responsible for the overall health, condition, visual impact and accessibility of the section for all four seasons.
  • Responsible for snow removal and storm damage clean up on an emergency on call basis.
  • Assist in the cleanliness and care of the landscape maintenance facility.
  • Responsible for proper use and care of mowers, hand tools, utility vehicles, trucks and trailers used in daily work.
What You Have:
  • A High school graduate or equivalent.
  • A valid PA Driver's License.
  • Ability to acquire a PA state pesticide applicator's certification.
  • Good written, oral, organizational and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to operate utility vehicles, mowers and trucks.
  • Ability to work independently.
