Job #: 201029 Title: Groundskeeper Location: Lufkin Salary Range: 13.65 Position: General Labor Description: We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Parks Laborer / Landscaper to assist with the maintenance and beautification of public parks, grounds, and recreational facilities. This position involves physical outdoor labor, landscaping duties, and general grounds keeping work in all weather conditions.Key Responsibilities:Maintain park grounds including mowing, trimming, edging, and weedingPlant, water, prune, and care for trees, flowers, shrubs, and turfOperate landscaping tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge clippersClean and maintain park facilities, restrooms, pavilions, and playgroundsCollect and dispose of litter and debris from grounds and trailsAssist in irrigation system maintenance and repairsPerform basic repairs to park equipment, fences, picnic tables, and signageFollow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Work as part of a team to complete seasonal landscaping projects or special events setup/cleanupReport any safety hazards, vandalism, or needed repairs to supervisorQualifications:Previous landscaping or outdoor labor experience a plusAbility to perform heavy physical labor in various weather conditionsFamiliarity with lawn care tools and basic equipment maintenanceStrong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructionsValid driver's license preferredAbility to work flexible hours, including some weekends or holidays as needed Requirements: Job Type: Contract Post Date: 07/02/2025
