GROUNDSKEEPER 1 - OHIO University : Job Details

Under close supervision from groundskeeper supervisor, performs routine, semi-skilled grounds maintenance functions (e.g., mows lawns; cleans grounds; removes snow). - Adheres to all OSHA and/or Ohio University required safety guidelines. - Mows, trims & edges lawns; weeds & waters lawns & flower beds; trims shrubs. - Keep grounds clean (e.g., picks up papers & other debris; operates vacuum sweeper to clean sidewalks & parking lots when necessary). - Removes snow & ice with hand shovel & broom; applies salt to snow & ice; operates power snow shovel when necessary. - Performs general grounds-related custodial and maintenance duties (e.g., delivers materials & equipment; cleans shop area); does routine maintenance of grounds equipment (e.g., cleans, paints, oils, sharpens) - Fertilizes lawns, trees and shrubs when assigned; plants trees, shrubs and other plants when assigned; seeds & sods lawns; sprays to control insects and disease as needed. - Performs other related duties as required....Groundskeeper, Property Management, Education, Maintenance, Equipment
