Grounds Technician - Equipment Crew - Texas Tech University : Job Details

Drive, maneuver and service equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, or rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain. Start engines, move throttles, switches, or levers, or depress pedals to operate machines, such as bulldozers, trench excavators, road graders, or backhoes. Observe entire grounds and identify and document all problems and/or hazards. Performs related work as needed. Utilize proper safety equipment and techniques to prevent personal injury and property damage and complies with the grounds maintenance safety program to include all safety and health rules, regulations and operating policies and procedures. Maintain all aspects of grounds including turf, irrigation systems, fences, trees, shrubs, ground covers, walkways, and hardscapes. Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, or related equipment.
