Join SSC Services For Education as a Grounds Manager at Queens University in Charlotte, NC.

The Grounds Manager will oversee all aspects of the artificial turf fields and grounds at the university, including proactive problem solving, budgeting, procurement, and leading renovation projects.

• Manage athletic fields and grounds schedules, including cultural management and setup
• Procure materials using approved vendors and protocols
• Coordinate field setup and takedown
• Develop emergency response plans for weather-related incidents
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and implement Quality Assurance
• Train staff on safety, compliance, and technical procedures
• Maintain detailed records of pest management and application processes
• Perform light maintenance and equipment repairs

• Two-year degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to obtain pesticide licenses within six months in core, turf, and ornamentals categories
