Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Works directly with Indiana Football.
  • Responsible for maintaining the established brand of Indiana University Athletics.
  • Manages and leads student intern.
  • Responsible for developing engaging graphical content for the purpose of internal and external stakeholders to elevate the visual appeal of Indiana across digital platforms, in-person experiences, physical materials, and more.
  • Creates content for social media platforms as well as recruiting graphics.
General Responsibilities
  • Designs the layout and format for digital and print graphic design content, including selection of colors, images, fonts, logos, and placement, for various marketing and communications needs, audiences, and platforms.
  • Creates images, graphic elements, illustrations, and other visual content using a variety of graphic software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Creates themed templates and images for general university use that align with IU brand guidelines.
  • In consultation with graphic designers, project managers, and/or other key stakeholders, defines printing specifications, refines graphic design project elements, and may work with vendors to quote and/or order large printed design projects.
  • May provide guidance to other Graphic Design Assistants; may make process recommendations to team and/or supervisor.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE Required
  • 4 years in relevant field

Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
