The Graphic and Web Design Project Manager plays a vital role in shaping the college's visual identity, ensuring high-quality, branded materials across print, digital, and environmental spaces. Functioning as part of an in-house agency, this role balances responding to internal requests by proactively identifying design opportunities that enhance the college's brand awareness and engagement. As part of a small, collaborative marketing team, this role requires a proactive mindset and the flexibility to assist with various marketing tasks beyond core design work. This position combines creativity with technical expertise to enhance brand presence, engage audiences, and support marketing initiatives.This role requires a strong team player who takes initiative in managing design projects, ensuring brand consistency, and assisting with web-related tasks, including WordPress management and optimization. This position serves as the lead project manager for the college's environmental branding initiatives. Some examples include wayfinding signs, plaques, banners, and other physical permanent and temporary installations around the college campuses/sites.Collaboration and communication are essential, as this position works closely with the Marketing team and other departments to develop compelling visuals that align with the College's goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to handle multiple projects while maintaining creative excellence. This role is ideal for a creative and self-motivated designer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to take initiative in both print and digital projects.Key Responsibilities:Creative Strategy & Initiative

  • Act as both a service provider (fulfilling internal design requests) and a strategic contributor (identifying opportunities to enhance the college's brand).
  • Proactively propose and develop creative projects that elevate marketing effectiveness, student engagement, and institutional visibility.
  • Stay informed on design trends, higher education marketing strategies, and brand best practices to improve creative output continuously.
Graphic Design & Branding & Project Management
  • Serve as project lead for specified graphic design projects
  • Design high-quality visuals for print, digital, and environmental branding projects
  • Ensure brand consistency across all materials and platforms
Environmental Branding Project Management
  • Serve as the lead project manager for environmental branding initiatives, overseeing the design, production, and installation of plaques, banners, and other physical branding elements across college campuses/sites.
  • Collaborate with vendors, facilities teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of environmental branding projects.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and approvals to keep projects on track and aligned with institutional goals.
Digital & Web Design Support
  • Design and update landing pages while maintaining WordPress functionality.
  • Edit and manage digital assets, including website images and marketing materials.
  • Troubleshoot minor WordPress issues and coordinate with developers.
  • Apply basic SEO and web accessibility best practices.
Project & Marketing Collaboration
  • Manage multiple design requests, ensuring deadlines and quality expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content for campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, or a related field, or a combination of an Associate's degree and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of graphic design experience
  • Software Proficiency: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, PowerPoint, and Word.
Web & WordPress Skills:
  • Experience creating and editing landing pages.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
  • Familiarity with WordPress themes, plugins, and content updates.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic website issues and coordinate with web developers.
  • Basic understanding of SEO.
  • Basic understanding of web accessibility.
Project Management: Strong ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, or a related field
  • Four years of graphic design experience
  • Experience working in higher education
