Regional Government Services and its staff are conducting the recruitment on behalf of the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority.

The Position

Under general direction, the Grants Specialistis responsible formanaging the MPWA's community and resident grant programs, developing relationships with granting agency staff, and managing the financial transactions and compliance of grants received by the MWPA.

NOTE:Thisis afull time, limited-termgrant-fundedposition.Funding for this position is contingent upon the terms of the grant.This position isanticipatedto befundedfor the next two years.

The Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority (MWPA) leads the development of fire adapted communities using sound scientific, financial, programmatic, ecological practices, vegetation management, community education, evacuation, and warning systems with the support of its member and partner agencies. Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority communities are informed, prepared, fire adapted, resilient and capable of withstanding a major fire limiting loss of life and major property damage while protecting our rich environmental diversity.

Education:

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, public policy, political science, economics, or a related field.Additionalexperiencelisted below may substitute for the required education.

Experience:

Significant experiencein grant writing and development, preferably in or with a public sector agency.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • $85,020.99 annually

  • Medical Benefits - $1,900 per month cafeteria plan

  • Paid Time Off – one hundred twenty hours (120) annually equivalent to the rate of 4.615 hours per pay period

  • A 401(a)-plan funded at 7.5% of salary

  • An employee funded 457plan

Remote Screen Interview Exam –(100%) Candidates who pass the application assessment may be invited to a Remote Screen Interview Examination to evaluate training, experience, and other job-related qualifications for the position. The Remote Screen Interview will be conducted via a video conference platform and is tentatively scheduled formid-August2025.
