This position will be located at 301 N. Wilmington Street, Raleigh NC 27601Salary Grade: NC12Recruitment Range: $45,926 - $57,500About the Position The primary purpose of this position is to administer the Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) and the Job Maintenance and Capital Development (JMAC) programs to ensure applications and disbursements meet the statutory requirements and program criteria. This position must be able to exercise exceptional independent and professional judgement, working closely with major national and international corporations interested in expanding or relocating to North Carolina. This position works closely with the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), Commerce's Office of General Counsel, Commerce Communications, the Labor and Economic Analysis Division (LEAD) and the NC Department of Revenue. This position provides technical counsel to consultants, EDPNC staff, and senior company executives regarding JDIG eligibility criteria, administrative procedures and statutory requirements. Division of Commerce Finance CenterThe Commerce Finance Center (CFC) is responsible for financing incentive programs offered by the NC Department of Commerce (Commerce) in its efforts to facilitate job growth in the state. In working with both new and existing industry, CFC manages and administers a variety of incentive-based grants as well as programs that assist units of local government and other stakeholders, including: the Job Development Investment Grant program; the OneNC Fund; the Certified Sites program; the Film and Entertainment Grant program; Esports Grant program; the Expanded Gas Service to Agricultural Projects grant program; and the NC Volume Cap, which includes the Industrial Revenue Bond program and other bond-related programs.
