Grant Program Director I- New Energy New York

SUNY Broome Community College is seeking a full-time, temporary, Grant Program Director I for Workforce Development. This grant-funded position reports to the Director of Workforce Development. Continuation of this position past 8/31/25 is contingent upon the availability of grant funding from one academic year to the next.
The Grant Program Director I (Director) will lead SUNY Broome's participation in the New Energy New York (NENY) Workforce Development project. Grant activities will focus primarily on the training needs of the growing battery development and manufacturing industry cluster in upstate New York's Southern Tier. The Director is responsible for expanding existing and deploying new training programs while developing strategies to overcome barriers to training and labor force participation.
In addition to coordinating the development of clean-energy curricula via in-person, virtual synchronous, and virtual asynchronous instructional formats, SUNY Broome will provide additional support for employers to create high quality, work-based learning opportunities such as co-ops, internships, apprenticeships and internal training programs.

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required. A Master's Degree is preferred.
Three (3) years of related work experience is required.
Preference given to those with experience in workforce development, marketing or project management.
Additional Information:
The minimum salary for this position is $60,631.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
