Posting DetailsPosition Information Job Title Graduate Assistant (Math) Nature of Work Graduate Assistants are hired at Chadron State College to assist in meeting the vision and goals established for CSC. Strategic deployment of graduate assistant positions is essential to ensure that limited resources are utilized in a manner consistent with the philosophy of CSC. Graduate assistants provide experiential learning in select areas and to assist the individual in a successful transition to future educational and professional opportunities.Examples of Work Performed Primary Duties:* Oversee the afterschool program and Family Math Night.* For the afterschool program, the GA will meet with Afterschool Program Director(s) to set up the schedule each semester for MATH 235 and Math 238 classes. Students in these classes will be assigned to either the afterschool program at Chadron Primary School, Chadron Intermediate School, or Chadron Middle School. During the semester, the GA will drop by each school to check on how well the college students are working with the public school students.* For Family Math Night, the GA will be in touch with a person from three schools: Crawford Elementary, Hay Springs Elementary, and Chadron Middle School.
