As an award winning 20,000 acre development, the development encompasses a private member's only club which includes a marina, restaurants, an equestrian center, a shooting club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, a lawn and racquet club, and more. In addition, Palmetto Bluff has an extensive nature preserve, walking trails, retail shopping, and a vibrant village, all which pay homage to the region's rich heritage. Job Summary: The Golf Reservations Agent is responsible for taking golf reservations, checking in members and guests, and selling merchandise and deliver outstanding customer service, which meets or exceeds our members and guests expectations. The Reservation Agent is instrumental in helping organize the daily/weekly/monthly tee sheets, merchandising the golf shop (in concert with the Retail Merchandiser), and welcoming our members and guests which is designed to improve the Club's products and services as well as its competitive position in the marketplace. Essential Job Functions: Job duties include, although are not limited to:

  • Make accurate tee times for members and Inn guests.
  • Ensure that tee sheets and their templates are properly set up for maximum amount of member and guest play
  • Greet all members and guests at the club with a warm welcome.
  • Answer telephone with positive, professional etiquette in 3 rings or less.
  • Interface with Caddie Master to assure accurate billing before closing out the day
  • Assist in golf tournament administration as needed
  • Assist with merchandising the golf shop at the direction of the Retail Merchandiser
  • Maintain accurate tee sheets of rounds played
  • Provide accurate billing to members and guests for product and services used
  • Responsible for tournament billing
  • Responsible for the communication flow throughout the Golf Department (caddie master, outside services, assistant golf professionals, etc.)
  • Assist Head Golf Professional and First Assistant in keeping par levels with golf supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional and/or First Assistant Golf Professional.
Qualifications:
  • Must be engaging and outgoing
  • Experience at high-end resort or private club operations preferred
  • Must be willing to learn operations
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Highly ethical
  • Extremely versatile individual
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English
Physical Demands:
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by Resort environmental systems.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort on a timely basis.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.
