Role Summary
Reporting to the Global QMS Head (change control, document control/training, CAPA, validation), the Global Quality Area Head is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a technical QMS area CAPA) of Church & Dwight's global Quality Management System for all Church & Dwight sites globally. The position ensures all applicable regulations & standards across all 15 Power Brands, in Medical Devices, Drug / Homeopathics, Food / Feed / Specialty Products Division (SPD), Nutritional Supplement, Cosmetics, and Household regulatory classifications, and all regions (globally) are up-to-date, aligned, understood and followed by all functions involved in GMP activities, including R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, Legal, Sales, and IT. This position is responsible for setting the direction, gaining alignment and implementing globally harmonized processes, including electronic systems, standardized metrics for reporting to the ELT, impacting over all global sites. The role also represents the QMS system in conversations with IT to drive system enhancements to enhance CAPA performance and compliance. This position is responsible for influencing all levels of management, including the ELT, of business needs to ensure an appropriate level of quality and compliance risk across Church & Dwight.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Act as the Global Process Owner for CAPA, ensuring effective design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes aligned with business objectives and industry standards.
Develop global training programs and implement change management strategies to ensure consistent and smooth CAPA process transitions across all locations.
Collaborate with IT to select and optimize electronic QMS tools, ensuring they support efficient CAPA execution and integration into existing systems.
Identify and mitigate process risks, establish issue escalation pathways, and lead root cause analyses to address and resolve CAPA system and process-related challenges.
Work cross-functionally with different departments such as Operations, R&D, Regulatory, IT, and Legal to enhance CAPA process outcomes and maintain alignment with organizational goals.
Establish standardized metrics for CAPA reporting to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), ensuring that CAPA performance and compliance are effectively communicated and understood.
Support regional and site leaders in CAPA training and implementation, fostering a unified approach to quality and compliance.
Advocate for necessary resources and support to ensure teams are equipped for continuous CAPA improvements and success.
Mentor and develop regional or site process leads, building a strong foundation for ongoing CAPA effectiveness and improvement.
Education and Experience
University's degree from an accredited institution in a related field
Professional typically with over 8 years technical experience and a demonstrated track record
Transitioning to Generalist in at least 1 area: Consumer products, medical device, food, dietary supplements or pharmaceutical
Contributions focused on some strategic initiative as well as functional execution elements; starting to work independently and transition to people management
May be consulted internally as an expert in the area of functional expertise
Skills and Competencies
Practical understanding, interpretation, and application of ISO13485, MDSAP.
Excellent verbal and written skills; able to analyze, define and effectively convey difficult and complex issues in a way that accurately and persuasively communicates issues to internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Management.
Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work with all levels of management and to build relationships across disciplines.
Excellent influence, persuasion, communication, and presentation skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,100 – $149,700, with bonus eligibility.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
