JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

JOB SUMMARY

The Gift Shop Manager oversees the operations of the Retail Pharmacy gift shop, including managing clerks, scheduling, performance counseling, customer satisfaction, operational processes, and financial results. Responsibilities include purchasing, merchandising, visual presentation, inventory control, record keeping, and staff development. The manager must exhibit good decision-making skills, extensive knowledge of the point-of-sale system, and excellent customer service skills. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner is essential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in management, business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in gift shop or retail setting required.
• Point of sale computer system experience required.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
• Artistic talent in merchandise display preferred.
• Ability to work independently and make relevant decisions required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be in good physical health. Requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for long periods. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.

• Occasionally (1%-33%) – lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching
