Position Overview
The Geophysicist plays a critical role in supporting geotechnical and environmental projects by acquiring, processing, interpreting, and reporting on geophysical data. This position involves the use of specialized equipment and software to evaluate subsurface conditions, identify anomalies, and provide actionable insights to project teams. The Geophysicist collaborates closely with engineers, scientists, and field personnel to ensure data accuracy and to support the development of effective site characterization and remediation strategies.
Responsibilities
Perform non-invasive geophysical surveys from the ground surface using a variety of geophysical methods
Analyze and report geophysical data
Coordinate with geologists, engineers, and others to integrate geophysical data with geological and engineering models
Assist with proposals
Propose improvements to research and data collection methods
Perform field site visits, field observations, and collect field data
Complete daily time and labor reports in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in geophysics, geology, engineering or related geoscience
Valid driver's license
Ability to obtain Missouri Geologist-Registrant-in-Training (GRIT) and Registered Geologist (RG) licensure
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients.
Reasoning ability and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, and diagram form.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment and in the field, requiring physical activity for extended periods in all-weather condition.
The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
