Internal Medicine / General Medicine Physician (Bilingual – English/Spanish)

Location:

Multiple Clinic Sites in San Antonio, TX

  • 78254 – Northwest San Antonio
  • 78209 – Alamo Heights / Terrell Hills area
  • 78216 – North Central San Antonio

Compensation:

Annual Salary: $230,000 – $250,000 (based on experience and qualifications)

Schedule:

Monday – Friday (no weekends or on-call required)

Choice of shifts:

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Exact hours to be finalized upon onboarding

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Internal Medicine or General Medicine Physician to join our well-established, patient-centered primary care practice with multiple clinic locations in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse adult patient population and thrive in a collaborative clinical environment.

This role is ideal for physicians who are passionate about preventative care, chronic disease management, and health education in underserved and bilingual communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient care for adult patients (ages 18+)
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, obesity, asthma, infections)
  • Conduct annual wellness exams, Medicare visits, and routine health screenings
  • Develop personalized treatment and care coordination plans
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, medication management, and healthy lifestyle practices
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab results, and imaging
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation using the clinic's electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Coordinate referrals and specialist care as needed
  • Collaborate with a team of nurses, medical assistants, case managers, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care
  • Stay current with best practices, clinical guidelines, and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or General Medicine
  • Active and unrestricted Texas Medical License
  • Current DEA registration
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (Required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based care model
  • Experience working with diverse and multicultural patient populations is preferred

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working in outpatient primary care or community health settings
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar)
  • Interest in long-term patient relationships and continuity of care
  • Cultural competency and sensitivity to language barriers and socioeconomic factors
