Description
Purpose: The General Manager (GM) responsibilities include implementing quality concepts throughout operational processes to enable continuous improvements; supervising warehouse/vault operations and delivery service; ensuring proper staffing to meet customer demands and utilizing employees' strengths to provide the best possible service for all customers; supervising operational personnel; and maintaining equipment and facility to achieve optimal performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Personnel Management. Interviews and screens job candidates to select the best person for the job. Completes the hiring process, trains, evaluates, supervises and rewards personnel to develop employees to their fullest potential. Trains personnel on security and fire safety procedures and enforces attendance and other personnel policies. Ensures proper staffing during vacation, holiday, and absentee occurrences. Communicates by meetings and written communications so all operational shifts are kept informed.
- Quality tracking and improvement. Participates fully in all facets of the Company's quality program, including development and training. Monitors, tracks, and sets goals for critical operational areas (i.e., on-time deliveries, driver productivity, warehouse/vault productivity, warehouse/vault paperwork accuracy, driver response time). Communicates/charts measurable performance goals and results and works toward continuous improvements. Monitors driver efficiency and fuel usage and observes stops and idle times while the route is in process via vehicle GPS system.
- Facilities/Equipment Maintenance. Manages vehicle maintenance, vehicle cleanliness, preventative maintenance scheduling, tracking and controlling required expenses. Maintains the warehouse/vault appearance according to cleanliness and orderliness standards, as well as warehouse/vault security, key fob, alarm code and door lock changes. Controls repairs and makes replacement orders. Oversees fuel card use and check-in/check-out procedures. Maintains scanners and related equipment, and manages the use of rack space, evaluating the need for additional rack.
- Inventory Control. Oversees daily warehouse/vault operations to ensure accuracy of stored items and timeliness of deliveries. Audits daily paperwork, reconciles daily warehouse/vault inventories of critical accounts. Identifies, schedules, supervises bay audits as prescribed by management. Identifies, schedules and supervises bay consolidations to achieve management goals. Verifies and monitors warehouse map and audits for accuracy.
- Customer Service. Provides courteous and attentive service to customers by presenting a professional and positive image when interacting in person and over the phone. Handles/coordinatest special requests and resolves customer problems (including disaster recovery drills and large customer problems). Updates and distributes delivery schedules.
- Compliance. Responsible for all compliance requirements/tasks related to all operational functions of the facility.

- Eighteen (18) years of age.
- Valid driver's license with clean MVR and clean background check.
- College degree.
- Supervisory experience (3-5 years desired) with demonstrated ability to manage and motivate others.
- P&L experience preferred.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Experience in B2B service industry work environment.
- Problem solving skills to solve people and process challenges.
- Detail oriented work style to identify discrepancies.
- Organizational skills to meet critical deadlines and schedule resources.
- Willing to take responsibility for daily operations after hours or unscheduled workdays.
- Willing and able to do physical work when necessary.
- A commitment to be a key leader in a disaster recovery environment and embracing the unique requirements of servicing both internal and external customers in such an environment.
