Job Description :

Verdant, a leader in print manufacturing and part of the Convivial Brands family, is seeking a results-driven General Manager to take full ownership of the business. This role requires a leader who can think strategically while executing tactically, owning every aspect of Verdant's operations, people, and financial sales performance. The General Manager will spearhead the development of a robust business plan, optimize organizational structure, and ensure sustainable growth, while maintaining operational excellence.

This is a high-impact role requiring vision, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, proven sales financial acumen, and the ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Business Plans: Create and implement a comprehensive business plan that integrates production, sales, financial, and growth objectives. This includes defining KPIs, setting benchmarks, and tracking progress.
  • Establish Organizational Structure: Design and refine Verdant's organizational structure to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, promoting efficiency and clear accountability across teams.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities, including products, services, and customer segments, to drive sustainable growth.
  • Innovation and R&D: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to introduce innovative solutions and continuously improve Verdant's offerings.
  • Optimize Production Processes: Lead efforts to streamline manufacturing workflows, improve throughput, and minimize downtime while maintaining strict quality standards.
  • Capacity Planning: Develop short- and long-term capacity plans to align resources with business demands, ensuring readiness for growth and scalability.
  • Technology and Automation: Champion the adoption of innovative technology and automation to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Inspire and Lead Teams: Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence by fostering an environment where employees are motivated to achieve their best.
  • Succession Planning: Identify and nurture high-potential talent, ensuring leadership continuity and stability within Verdant.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the key liaison between Verdant and other Convivial Brands entities, promoting synergy and sharing best practices.
  • P&L Ownership: Take full responsibility for Verdant's Profit & Loss statement, with a focus on cost management, revenue growth, and margin improvement.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and provide accurate forecasting, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Use data analytics and reporting tools to drive operational and financial decisions, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring Verdant remains a trusted partner in the industry.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to the CVO and President, highlighting business performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Customer-Centric Culture: Foster a customer-focused mindset throughout Verdant, ensuring excellence in service and satisfaction.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations leadership. Print experience or a similar industry is a plus.
  • Proven track record of business growth and operational transformation.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Visionary leadership with the ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.
  • Mastery in financial management, including P&L ownership and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
