General Manager – Utilities & InfrastructureRochester, MN | $175K-200KPosition Overview
A forward-thinking public utility is seeking an experienced and dynamic executive to lead its multi-service operations. This position reports to an appointed board and is responsible for overall strategic direction, operational leadership, and long-term planning across electric, water, and natural gas services.

- Strategic Planning & Vision: Lead the development and execution of long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals and community needs.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of utility services across departments.
- Financial Leadership: Oversee organizational budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Workforce Leadership: Foster a high-performing culture across departments with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and employee development.
- Community Engagement & Representation: Serve as the public face of the utility, building trust and transparency with customers, regulators, and local leaders.Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, public administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience—ideally within a public utility, municipal agency, or similarly regulated environment
- Proven record of managing complex operations, financials, and cross-departmental teams
- Deep knowledge of utility systems, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance
- Skilled communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the broader community.Willingness to engage in community and industry events
