Food Service Director

LOCATION: Erie County Medical Center, Niagara Falls, NY

SALARY: 115-125K range

This position is located in Buffalo NY. All applicants MUST be willing to relocate to the Buffalo/Niagara NY commute area. Relocation Assistance is available for this position. Experience is a MUST in the Food Service Industry in a large multi-outlet facility (such as College, University or Hospital) that includes Retail, Food Court, Concessions, Caf' and Catering operations.

Metz Culinary Management is seeking an experienced Food Service Director/General Manager who shares our passion for AMAZING Food and UNFORGETTABLE Service. We are seeking a polished and professional Director with a winning attitude and ready to hit the ground running in a busy Hospital Dining Services setting.

Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have openings for a Rock Star Food Service Director/GM who shares our passion for Food and Service. This position is a prominent opportunity in a busy commercial kitchen and caf operations setting and requires a polished and professional identity and winning attitude from a Director with experience leading a team in all operations. Experience desired in a Contract Dining Food Service setting such as Hospital, School, College, Senior Living or Corporate Dining accounts.

The Food Service Director/GM has an overall responsibility of food service. He/She institutes company cycle menus and recipes; plans and oversees purchasing, employee personnel programs, scheduling, bookkeeping, customer and client relations; oversees the food preparation service and sanitation; and is accountable for the total operation results. The General Manager reports to Client Administration and The District Manager.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years in a Food Service Manager role (front and back)
  • Knowledgeable in Retail Sales and POS systems
  • Catering Management Experience
  • Impeccable Communication Skills
  • Restaurant Management knowledge
  • Thorough knowledge of Menu implementation with stunning presentation ideas
  • Team Building with strong Recruiting and Retention Program
  • Technology Savvy
  • Hospitality Degree a strong plus
