Overview
Romark Logistics is recruiting for the position of General Manager. The General Manager reports to the Supply Chain Manager and/or the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop operational metrics to drive performance across safety, quality, inventory accuracy, productivity, and damage reduction at the facility, shift, and individual levels.
- Balance labor availability daily against fluctuating volume demands across all operational areas within a 3rd shift environment.
- Evaluate and enhance co-packaging workflow, identify cost-effective methods to improve workspace utilization, labor deployment, and service efficiency.
- Lead and coordinate all functions within the value-added services operation to ensure performance objectives are met or exceeded.
- Drive productivity improvements through effective planning, team leadership, and implementation of best practices and process enhancements.
- Partner with Human Resources to develop, implement, and measure employee development, performance management, and retention initiatives.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and implement standard operating procedures that improve consistency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
- Build a high-performing, cross-trained team prepared for internal growth through mentorship and development.
- Ensure company policies (budget, progressive discipline, recognition, and retention) procedures and values are communicated, administered, and enforced.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of all necessary reports and records regarding warehouse operations.
- Responsible for managing co-packaging related budget and expense items and assist in developing the annual operating budget.
- Participate in internal leadership meetings and external development seminars, as needed.
- Ensure full compliance with all company safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Lead and support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of hands-on leadership experience in a production, packaging, and/or operations setting. Experience managing co-packaging operations is preferred.
- 3-5 years of project management experience, particularly applying supply chain technologies to business solutions.
- Familiarity with Lean and/or Six Sigma practices are highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must demonstrate a proactive, hands-on leadership style.
- Proficiency in WMS system, RF technology, and Microsoft Office Suite applications (Intermediate Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Pay: From $130,000 annually
