POSITION: The General Manager (GM) is the driving force behind the effective and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. The GM leads the organization forward, drives continuous improvement, and promotes a positive work environment for the team. The GM ensures we safely produce quality products on-time and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Planning & Implementation. Develop and implement strategic operational plans that align with the company's objectives. Achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Operational Management & Efficiency. Lead daily operations and ensure smooth production processes and adherence to policies and standards. Improve internal processes. Initiate and lead continuous in SQDCM. Monitor production metrics. Analyze data and improvement strategies to improve profitability and productivity. Ensuring compliance, and follow all safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality requirements. Manage Resources, maximize output, minimize waste, and manage inventory.
- Financial Management. Manage budgets of $XXM and forecasts. Focus on cost reductions and operational improvements to improve customer value and company profitability.
- Leadership and Developing Teams. Enhance performance, meet operational standards, and lead a positive work environment. Set performance goals and perform evaluations. Support employee development and lead a culture of continuous improvement. Lead/oversee recruiting and training. Build a high-performing workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- High-energy, CI problem-solver, collaborative, and results-driven.
- Change Agent who has led positive transformation in approach, process and culture.
- Leadership Experience in Industrial Manufacturing including cross-functional expertise.
- 10 years' progressive in operations, manufacturing engineering, or quality. g., General Mgr, Operations Mgr, Manufacturing Engineering Mgr, or Quality Mgr.
- Scope minimum led manufacturing with Sales > $25M and associates > 50 in a complex environment.
- Implementation of Lean / OpEx / Best-Practice - Systems, Processes, Tools. g., strategy, goals, metrics, root cause problem solving, SIOP, visual daily management, capacity/resource planning, ERP/MRP, kaizen, 5S, standard work, takt time, assembly line design, etc.
- Demonstrated Continuous Improvement with business metric results. Initiating, leading, and problem-solving with the team.
- g., Safety (injury reduction), Quality (scrap, rework, warranty), Delivery (throughput-capacity, on-time delivery, lead-time), Cost (productivity, headcount), Sales (revenue), Inventory ($'s, days on hand), and Environment (engagement, turnover, etc).
- Strong analytical skills including data analysis, optimization, Excel, Power BI.
- ERP & MRP Systems subject matter expertise. Epicor preferred but not required.
- Works in the office. We have limited remote work flexibility.
- Travel occasionally and/or contribute to international calls at extended hours < 20%.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFEERED
- Industry leading companies - Case, Caterpillar, John Deere, Ford, General Motors, etc.
- Complex and highly engineered products experiences that are similar/relatable to cranes.
- P&L experience and/or large budget $XXM responsibility.
- Master's degree MBA, MS, etc.
- Certifications include Lean, Six Sigma, APICS, etc.
