We are seeking a General Manager for our Geneva, IL fulfillment center. This position will report to the Senior Director, Fulfillment.
What You'll Do:
Manage full fulfillment process, including order generation, production, pick/pack, shipping/receiving, and inventory management.Own FC performance and outcomes based on goals set by Directors of Fulfillment; identify areas for improvement.Mentor and provide direction to Supervisor, Leads, and Associates.Implement projects and policies established by FC leadership.Consider worker suggestions in decision-making.Recommend FC organizational needs, collaborate with Director and People Generalist for recruiting and retention, and work with Supervisor to eliminate single points of failure.Ensure FC safety and security, setting programs in compliance with company policies and addressing potential risks.Manage product recalls or quarantines, ensuring no quarantined product is shipped.Oversee safety procedures, including fire safety and weather safety.Handle safety and security incidents and policies.Set labor budgets and planning, track progress, and work with Supervisor on implementation.Establish relationships with local temp agencies, oversee temp-to-permanent conversions.Address personnel or workers' compensation issues in conjunction with HR.Coordinate with FC leadership and corporate teams on new products and processes.Develop sanitation and cleaning programs to ensure Covid-19 compliance.Lead building projects like racking, freezer builds, and offsite storage.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Who You Are:
Hold a 4-year degree or equivalent work experience.Have P&L experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience managing multiple sites.Strong negotiation skills.Proven success in leading teams.Strong collaboration skills across departments.Proficient with Microsoft Office.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk in a warehouse environment.Capable of demonstrating tasks like packing and picking.Able to work at a computer for extended periods.Willing to travel as needed.What You'll Get:
