Brookside Golf Club at The Rose Bowl—Los Angeles County's oldest golf course with a 95-year legacy—is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the club into its next chapter. Nestled in Pasadena's scenic foothills and steeped in history, Brookside offers a unique opportunity to oversee one of Southern California's most storied golf destinations.

As General Manager, you will partner closely with the City of Pasadena and lead a seasoned team of department heads to deliver exceptional service, drive operational excellence, and create a welcoming and inclusive environment for golfers, guests, and the community.

Annual Salary: $160,000-$165,000 + bonus incentive
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Execute and evolve a strategic plan that supports Marin's long-term vision while elevating service and experience.
Operational Oversight: Lead day-to-day club operations, including golf, F&B, tennis, aquatics, and events to ensure efficiency and excellence.
Member Engagement: Build strong relationships with members through visibility, communication, and hospitality leadership.
Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and economic performance to ensure long-term sustainability.
Team Leadership: Develop a high-performing leadership team and culture of accountability, service, and professionalism.
Board & Governance: Serve as a key liaison to the Board, providing transparency, recommendations, and performance updates.
Experience & Programming: Ensure exceptional execution of events, tournaments, and lifestyle programming that enhance member satisfaction.
Capital Project Leadership: Facilitate and lead capital improvement projects and reinvestment strategies that enhance the overall club experience, ensuring alignment with member expectations, long-term planning, and financial stewardship.
Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate is an experienced and strategic leader with a proven track record of success in private club management, Food and Beverage, or luxury hospitality. This individual must possess the operational expertise, financial acumen, and interpersonal skills necessary to lead a top-tier club. They will be driven by a passion for service excellence and the ability to foster a strong sense of community.
Key Qualifications:
Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a senior leadership role within a private club, hospitality, or luxury service environment.
Operational Expertise: Strong background in club operations, including food & beverage, golf, and event management, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality member experiences.
Financial Acumen: Demonstrated success in managing budgets, driving profitability, and achieving financial sustainability.
Member-Centric Approach: A deep commitment to understanding and exceeding member needs, with a track record of building strong member relationships.
Strategic Thinker: Ability to align operations with long-term strategic goals, ensuring the club continues to evolve and grow in a competitive market.
Team Leadership: Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, with a focus on professional development, collaboration, and accountability.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with members, staff, and the Board of Directors.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation or equivalent is preferred.
Experience working closely with a Board of Directors in a private club or luxury service environment is a plus.
