Rising above Manhattan's dynamic West Side, 35 Hudson Yards is home to ultra-luxury residences, premier retail, exceptional dining, and the flagship Equinox Hotel. This role offers the rare opportunity to oversee a property of unmatched scale, sophistication, and complexity.The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record managing Class A luxury condominiums, five-star hotels, or iconic mixed-use assets. You will possess the gravitas to engage discerning residents, the operational mastery to run a multifaceted property at peak performance, and the strategic foresight to anticipate and exceed expectations.Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership across all operational aspects of the property, ensuring the highest levels of resident satisfaction, guest experience, and asset performance.
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency, enhance property value, and maintain the asset's world-class reputation.
- Oversee financial management, including annual budgets, capital planning, and operational cost controls, while maintaining uncompromising service standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison with residents, retail and hospitality partners, corporate stakeholders, and ownership — ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Uphold all compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements while setting new benchmarks for operational excellence.
Operations & Financial Management
- Oversee daily operations of the property, including staffing, service delivery, amenity management, and vendor performance
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and financial reporting
- Prepare and review monthly operating statements, capital planning, and reserve fund use
- Lead vendor RFP processes and contract negotiations in collaboration with the Board or HOA
Resident & HOA Relations
- Serve as the main point of contact for homeowners and residents, managing communication, service concerns, and feedback
- Support HOA Board governance with timely reporting, project updates, and policy implementation
- Coordinate and attend Board and annual meetings; assist with notices, agendas, and minutes
- Monitor resident satisfaction and lead service recovery with professionalism and discretion
Staff Leadership & Team Development
- Hire, train, and supervise maintenance, concierge, and administrative staff
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and team-building support
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and service excellence
- Promote DEI practices and lead by example through emotional intelligence and clear communication
Maintenance & Building Standards
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs, building inspections, vendor coordination, and repair work
- Ensure building systems and shared amenities meet brand standards and local code requirements
- Maintain safety protocols, emergency preparedness plans, and compliance documentation
Event & Community Engagement
- Partner with the Board and staff to plan and execute lifestyle programming, community events, and amenity activations
- Strengthen resident engagement and build a strong sense of community through inclusive programming and digital touchpoints
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure adherence to HOA bylaws, house rules, local regulations, and Fair Housing laws
- Maintain audit-ready records, incident logs, building permits, and inspection documentation
- Manage vendor insurance compliance, staff certifications, and site policies
Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Support corporate and Board-led initiatives, including capital improvements, sustainability goals, and tech upgrades
- Serve as a key contact during crisis events or emergencies and lead on-site response efforts
- Represent the property in brand audits, customer journey mapping, and service innovation planning
Compensation:The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.$170,000 - $180,000 + Discretionary BonusThe actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components, including, but not limited to, the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.#LuxLeadership#RMCQualifications
- Minimum 10+ years senior leadership experience in luxury residential property management, Class A mixed-use developments, or five-star hospitality operations.
- Exceptional leadership presence, polished communication skills, and the ability to build trust with ultra-high-net-worth residents and corporate stakeholders alike.
- Strong financial and operational acumen, with demonstrated success managing large-scale budgets and complex assets.
- A track record of elevating service delivery to world-class standards in high-profile environments.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, real estate management, business, or related field (advanced degree or industry certifications preferred).
