General Maintenance - Facilities - Hospital and Garden - Full Time - Afternoons - ProMedica Health System : Job Details

Under general direction, but following defined policies and procedures, performs general maintenance and repairs of the hospitals facilities and equipment. This job requires knowledge and skill in a variety of trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, general maintenance, and carpentry. Incumbents may have an accomplished skill in a specific area, but are required to have a basic knowledge of the other skills in order to assist and/or relieve other employees. ACCOUNTABILITIES Keeps supervision informed of problems, conditions and status of assigned work. Makes emergency repairs to building systems while on single coverage shifts. Supports work with documentation. Assists maintenance mechanics and skilled tradesman with troubleshooting, repair, construction and installation of building systems, equipment and fixtures.
