Job Duties of the General Labor Furnace Operator: Load and unload cast iron parts into and out of alloy baskets Follow detailed work instructions Follow safety guidelines Maintain a safe and clean work environment Eventually will learn how to operate the furnace, perform quality checks, and other tasks #nowhiringQualifications of the General Labor Furnace Operator: Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required High School Diploma or GED required Must be detail oriented Must have basic level of reading, writing, and arithmetic skills Must have problem solving/communication skills Ability to read and follow work instructions Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30-40 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally Bending, stooping, lifting, twisting Must be able to stand and move about the entire shift Employee Provided Dress/PPE: Steel toes required.
