• Educates patients on proper oral health care
• Examines teeth and diagnoses patients' dental condition using various tools and medical technologies
• Provides treatment options and plans with patients
• Gives referrals as needed for specialty treatment
• Treats various conditions such as gum disease, restoring teeth affected by decay, and other services as needed
• Records and follows patient's progress, procedures, and treatment plans
• Complies with patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance, follows safety policies and procedures through OSHA compliance and BBP (Blood-borne Pathogens)
• Provides supervision to dental assistants and personnel in areas of specific support services for patient care delivery

• Certification of graduation from an accredited dental school
• Current dental license issued by the state where practicing
• Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR-BLS)
• DEA license
• NPI number
