Successful Adtech, highly reputable company based in prestigious Midtown office, NYC. This General Counsel role will work very closely with the senior leadership team and outside counsel to oversee and handle a variety of commercial legal matters.

Job Description

As General Counsel you will be responsible for:

• Varied commercial and corporate legal work
• Managing Outside Counsel
• Attending senior leadership and commercial agreement meetings with the leadership team
• Providing varied legal counsel on commercial and corporate matters
• Whilst this role is currently a stand-alone legal position within the organization, they intend for this person to build a legal function and grow a legal team in the future

The Successful Applicant

The ideal General Counsel candidate will have demonstrable skills and approach:

• Business and commercially minded General Counsel who can advise the senior leadership team on recommended legal approach for varied commercial and corporate legal matters
• Able to confidently provide sound legal counsel on a variety of matters - commercial agreements, transactions, employment and other corporate legal matters
• Previous experience in Adtech, Media, Publishing or SaaS setting is essential, either as an Associate General Counsel, Director or General Counsel
• Happy to be hands-on, this is currently a stand-alone legal role with the intention for this person to scale the legal function and grow the legal team within the organization in the future
