CCSNH has established employer status within the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations, eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.
SCOPE OF WORK: This position provides customer service support to prospective and current students regarding admissions, registration services, financial aid, and student accounts/payment policies. The position is a direct student service position supporting the needs and interests of all students, family members and the public. This position will report to the Vice President of Student Success and Enrollment Management at Great Bay Community College.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate degree from a recognized college. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: Two (2) years' experience in business, and/or education involving college admissions, marketing, promotion, sales involving providing product or program information to others and customer service. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational and sales skills, written and oral communication skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively with individuals of diverse cultures. A working knowledge of college or university operations and programs. Ability to work autonomously and find innovative solutions to problems.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of English, spelling, and arithmetic. Knowledge of office record keeping and reporting. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts and identify existing or potential problems. Ability to contribute to the development of sound operational procedures. Ability to make sound judgment in appraising situations and making routine decisions. Ability to follow specific instructions in gathering facts, data or resources in organizing required information. Ability to speak with prospective students and explain programs sponsored by the college or department. Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college.
