What You'll Do

As part of our network, you'll be matched with opportunities to teach game design and coding to K-12 students at schools, community centers, and other venues across Connecticut. These teaching terms may last from 6 to 18 weeks. Your responsibilities as an after-school instructor include:

  • Designing an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
  • Creating memorable experiences that foster children's growth and passion for game design
  • Arriving on time (or early!), prepared with your lesson plan
  • Helping children understand the importance and impact of coding and design, sharing how it has shaped you
Who You Are

An enthusiastic, adaptable instructor with experience teaching school-age children, who:

  • Has expertise in relevant programming languages
  • Enjoys building hands-on projects with kids
  • Can code using Scratch, Python, or similar platforms (required)
  • Is passionate about teaching and personal development
  • Creates a fun, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Brings creativity and your own voice to each class
  • Is cooperative, supportive, flexible, dependable, and proactive
  • Thrives with autonomy but appreciates support and clear expectations
